Τρίτο άλμπουμ για τους Βρετανούς από το Λίβερπουλ,
SSS. Η ταυτότητα τους είναι ένα μείγμα από Thrash και Punk, ή Hardcore αν προτιμάτε, με έντονες επιρροές από Anthrax και Suicidal Tendencies.
Το αδελφό συγκρότημα των Municipal Waste επιστρέφει ύστερα από το 2008 με 25 νέους δυναμίτες που συνθέτουν το άλμπουμ
Problems to the Answers. Αυτή τη φορά όμως δεν μένουν προσηλωμένοι στο μείγμα punk/thrash metal αλλά πάνε ένα βήμα πιο κάτω με στοιχεία από Death, Grindcore μέχρι και , κατά μια έννοια, progressive Μουσική.
Όλα τους τα τραγούδια είναι σαν δυναμίτες που σκάνε μέσα στον εγκέφαλο σου. Οι
SSS είναι γρήγοροι, ναι αυτό είναι ένα στοιχείο που το τονίζουν με κάθε νότα τους. Τα riff τους είναι Heavy και ο ρυθμός τους είναι φανταστικός. Μου άρεσε πολύ ότι δίνουν μεγάλο βάρος στην στιχουργική τους πλευρά και αποδικνύουν ότι έχουν κάτι να πούν. Δεν είναι από της μπάντες που απλά είναι για κατανάλωση άφθονου αλκοόλ και χαβαλέ. Είναι κάτι πολύ παραπάνω από αυτό. Πότε αναφέρονται σε κοινωνικά θέματα και πότε έχουν μια πολιτική διάσταση οι στίχοι τους, πάντα έχουν κάτι να πουν μέσα από τα τραγούδια τους.
Ακούγοντας το λιγότερο από ένα λεπτό κομμάτι "
Direct Action" καταλαβαίνεις ότι μπορούν να παίζουν με ιλιγγιώδη ταχύτητα χωρίς όμως να χάνουν τον έλεγχο κια να δημιουργούν ένα ολοκληρωτικό χάος. Στο "
Eat Me Drink Me Burn Me", είναι καταπληκτικοί, ένα από τα καλύτερα thrash κομμάτια της εποχής μας. Ολιγόλεπτο μεν αλλά στην κυριολεξία ένας πραγματικός δυναμίτης. Αλλά και τα
"The Kill Floor", "Laughing Leads To Crying", "Sick Pleasures", " Tales Out Of School", "Rats Nest", "Politics Of Convenience" ,"Deep Sleep", "Dismantle The Dream" είναι φανταστικά .
Third album for the British from Liverpool, SSS. The identity is a mixture of Thrash and Punk,or Hardcore if preferred, with strong influences from Anthrax and Suicidal Tendencies.
The brother band of Municipal Waste returns after 2008 with 25 new stompers that make the album Problems to the Answers. This time, however, do not stay engaged in the blend punk / thrash metal, but goes one step forward with clues from Death, Grindcore and also, in a sense, progressive music.
All the songs are like dynamite that explode in your brain. The SSS is fast, so this is something that every touch point with them. The riff is Heavy and the pace is amazing. I loved that place great emphasis on their lyrical side and prove that they have something to say. It is one of the band that are not just for consumption of alcohol and plenty of fun. It is much more than that. When referring to social issues and when they have a political dimension to the lyrics, always have something to say through their songs.
Listening to less than a minute piece of "Direct Action" you know they can play at breakneck speed without losing control of algae to create a totalitarian chaos. In "Eat Me Drink Me Burn Me", are great, one of the best thrash songs of our time. While few minutes, but literally a real dynamite. But also "The Kill Floor", "Laughing Leads To Crying", "Sick Pleasures", "Tales Out Of School", "Rats Nest", "Politics Of Convenience", "Deep Sleep", "Dismantle The Dream" are fantastic.
The SSS do not do something new, but it is so dynamic and complex, tethered like drags. With this in mind it is worth their reach and discover the magic of 25 amazing compositions. Especially if you are fan of Thrash Metal music will love "Problems to the Answers" album.
